Troubleshooting
Blank tiles, Sync warnings, Live limits, expired shares, and Pro gates.
Most canvas problems are either embedding (iframes), Sync without Proxy/Live, or plan limits. Walk the cases below before writing Support.
Blank or blocked tiles
- White / refused to connect
- The site may block framing. Enable Proxy, or switch the tile to Live. Details: Settings, Sync, and Live.
- Wrong page / cookie wall
- Some sites behave differently inside embeds. Live sessions are closer to a real browser. Try a public URL first; use
tessera devon Pro for localhost tunnels.
Sync needs Proxy or Live
Sync scroll and Follow cannot read an ordinary sandboxed iframe. Turn on Proxy, or put those tiles on Live, then re-enable Sync. Same requirement applies inside sections.
Live quota
Concurrent Live sessions are capped (Free: 2 Live tesserae; Pro: 6). Tessera may keep off-screen tiles as iframes and promote Live for what's in view. If Live won't start, free a slot (turn a tile back to iframe) or upgrade. Background: Live streaming deep dive.
