Keyboard and touch
Shortcuts for pan, zoom, arrange, rotate, duplicate, save, and touch gestures.
Shortcuts are ignored while you type in the URL field or other inputs. On macOS, ⌘ replaces Ctrl where noted.
Keyboard
- Space + drag
- Pan the canvas.
- Alt + drag
- Box-select tiles.
- Ctrl / ⌘ + scroll
- Zoom toward the cursor.
- + / −
- Zoom in / out.
- 0
- Reset zoom.
- 1
- Fit all tiles in view.
- 2
- Arrange tiles into a mosaic.
- R
- Rotate selected tile(s).
- ⌘/Ctrl + D
- Duplicate selection.
- ⌘/Ctrl + S
- Save Mosaic (when signed in / available).
- Delete / Backspace
- Remove selected tiles.
- Arrow keys
- Nudge selection; Shift for larger steps.
- Escape
- Cancel section placing / clear transient UI.
Touch
- One finger drag
- Pan.
- Pinch
- Zoom.
- Tap
- Select a tile.
Canvas chrome
Status text at the bottom of the workspace restates the essentials: space pan · pinch zoom · alt+drag select · ctrl+scroll zoom · 1 fit · 2 arrange · r rotate · ⌘D dup · del remove. Shortcuts still work without the old hint strip — see Toolbar reference.
