Canvas basics

Pan, zoom, Fit, arrange layouts, select tiles, rotate, duplicate, and delete on the infinite desk.

The desk is pan-and-zoom. Tiles (device frames) sit on it; sections group regions. You don't scroll the page, you move the camera.

Move around

Pan
Hold Space and drag, or middle-click drag. On trackpads, two-finger pan when not zooming.
Select box
Hold Alt and drag to box-select multiple tiles.
Touch
One finger pans the canvas; pinch zooms. Tap a tile to select it.

Zoom and Fit

Zoom
Ctrl / ⌘ + scroll, or the Zoom control in the toolbar. Keys: + / −, 0 resets zoom.
Fit
Press 1 (or Fit in Zoom) to frame every tile in view.

Arrange

Press 2 or click Arrange to pack tiles into a clean mosaic. Re-run after you add or remove devices. Layout preferences live under Arrange if you want row vs grid style packing.

Select and edit

  1. Click a tile to select it. Alt-drag for multi-select.
  2. R rotates the selection (when the device allows portrait/landscape).
  3. ⌘/Ctrl+D duplicates. Delete/ Backspace removes (respects Free's two-tile ceiling when adding).
  4. Arrow keys nudge selected tiles; hold Shift for larger steps.

Theme

The sun/moon control in the toolbar flips Tessera's chrome between light and dark. It does not change the page inside the tiles. That stays your site's own theme.
